About Us
We are committed to bringing the
Best Golden Retrievers into the world as possible for family pets
We are able to do this by being very selective of
Dam & Sire.

They are also beloved family pets. They were selected to be part of our family after years of research and exploring different breeders all over the United States. We selected them for the excellent health, strong bloodlines, genetic health history and for the temperament of their parents,
We love the breed and relish the opportunity to bring strong, healthy, happy, well socialized puppies into this world.
We are proud to be able to share the joy these puppies bring for a lifetime with others by giving them the opportunity to be able to have one of these amazing puppies in their lives and home.
We got our first Golden retriever over 30 years ago when our young four year old son had gone through a life threatening illness. Savannah was amazing with him and his health and recovery.

At Harmony Retrievers, we are committed to raising healthy, well-socialized Golden Retrievers.
Both parents of this litter come from carefully chosen lines with no history of hip, elbow, or eye issues. Each dog has undergone DNA health testing for common genetic conditions, and results came back clear.
We have chosen not to pursue OFA hip/elbow/eye certifications for this dam because:
-
This is her last litter (she has had C-sections, so her breeding future is limited).
-
OFA certifications are a snapshot and, while valuable, they do not guarantee that issues will never appear.
-
The known history of her lines, combined with modern DNA testing, gives us strong confidence in her health and the health of her puppies.

Over the years we had four additional Goldens. Unfortunately due to some genetic health issues we lost two of our beloved babies too soon. That was also before the advancements in science that allow us to be able to verify the genetic health of our Goldens. We were heartbroken to lose them well before their time.
That is the reason we have been so careful in our selective breeding with our Dams and Sires.
We do everything possible to reduce the risk of any of our puppies having health issues in their lifetime
to the best of our ability.

We do not allow our dogs to be anywhere near yards in our grassy areas that have been
treated with chemicals and pesticides.
We require anyone who gets one of our babies to honor the same commitment to their health and safety.

We are very careful to have safe non toxic things in their environment.
In addition to that we highly recommend crate training and obedience training at least for the basics.

Much of the training can be done by the new pet parents and there are also many books and classes that also offer this training.

A dog that is trained to behave well and come quickly when called is the key to safety for your pet and quality of life for both the dog and their human family.
